Alexandra Maria Lara has been a Romanian/German television and film actress for a long time. Alexandra is known for the roles she played in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Born as the only child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra entered the showbiz world early and was performing lead roles in various shows on television by the time she was sixteen. The Oscar-nominated film Downfall her character as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudljunge was also critically acclaimed. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also nominated for Oscars. Alexandra is known for her involvement in many noteworthy projects both domestically and internationally. Among others, these projects comprise British Biographical Film Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. In addition, she has been a juror at the Transylvania International Film Festival as in the Cannes Film Festival.
