Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania. She is a Romanian/German actress. Her best-known films include Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra was the only daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. At the age of 16she already been offered a variety of television roles which included the leading role in the Downfall film Youth Without Youth Control. Her critically acclaimed performance in the film made for television Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including that of Secretary to Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge in the critically and commercially profitable Oscar nominated historical war film Downfall. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also Oscar-nominated. Over the years Alexandra has been involved in a variety of notable international and national projects. Some of these comprise British Biographical Film Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. Her other roles include being a jury member at each of The Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
